In this world, demigods are apprentices to the gods and their mentors eventually get forgotten and fade out of existence - aka die - the demigod becomes the new god of that domain and the cycle repeats
Originally, none of the gods shared domains, they all had their own one thing and that was how it is, until two gods would start fighting over one potential demigod, and the demigod would be mentored by both of them as a fair compromise. None of the gods involved like when this happen though, because they're very prideful and dont like sharing demigods
